- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 package Original Carl Budding Beef (2.5oz thinly sliced beef in a convenient package)
- 4 slices of bread
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and well blended. Remove from heat and stir in milk. Heat to boiling stirring constantly for 1 minute. Smooth out any lumps. Cut beef into strips and add to boiling mixture. Cook for 1-2 more minutes (until hot). Spread on toast or buttered bread (usually covers about 3 1/2 slices). Enjoy.
